British Army SOE Resistance No. 82 Gammon Grenade 1943 Just Found, Inert.

This is the second Gammon I get from same place/source. Check item 51249. This second Gammon is in better condition than the first one. It has been found in same area in similar circumstances: Rebuilding an old house in France, (I will tell the exact place to the buyer, it is a very famous place in the World War Two history). It is offered in "as found" condition as 99% of items I always offer. The fuze is marked MKI, Gammons used both MKI fuzes with standard safety strap and later the modified MKII with a shorter strap. Being this an "unmessed with" item it´s easy to think that in the factory they used remains of MKI caps on the new fuze, I have seen this many times in all kind of items: Uniforms, Helmets, Equipment, Ordnance, etc. They were in a War, not producing items for collectors. This Gammon has never been into a collection. Remains of the original glue strap still on the cap. Complete till last screw, and this one even has the collar thread of the booster container. Only one small hole in the cloth bag and some rust where the strap was, nothing serious. If you don´t want to spend 1K euro, (and more), for a MINT Gammon and you love the WWII History, this one is for you. I will ship it with the fuze parts dismounted and bagged apart.
