German Wehrmacht Brennzünder 39 BZ39 For Use In The M24 Stielhandgranaten Stickgrenades, Inert.

This new fuze was introduced in 1940, it was easier to build and the aluminium body was stronger than the lead one used on the BZ24. I have found early dated M24 with this fuze inside, untouched examples I mean, in the South of France where long time stored grenades were used at the end of the war and fitted with the new fuze. Anyways they are more common to find in 1942 and later sticks. This is only an information to you, you are free to do what you want. Both type of pull cords known, hemp and cotton were used with this fuze.
