German Wehrmacht Combat Gas Mask Set Belonging To Uffz. Voges P. 48404 B, 100% Complete Condition.

I only had to add the filter lid, the rest was already there. Condition of all parts is crazy, museum condition. This set will allow you to understand why the normal thing is to find not matching sets, (most of them). As soon the Soldier had to use a lot his mask and saw a lot of action, some parts needed to be replaced, so he got a new can and a new filter for his 1938/39 dated mask, also new lenses were installed, you can see same lenses installed in the mask than as spare, all 1940 dated. Can and filter are both 1942 dated and stamped with WaA. Mask was factory made with 1938 and 1939 parts. If you look at his Feldpostnummer 48404 you find this info:

(23.4.1944-24.11.1944) 7.11.1944 gestrichen.
So, looks like he got the new can and filter when was sent to this Regiment, all dates match. Hard to upgrade set.
