German Heer Pioneer Feldbluse Upgraded To Officer Italy 1944, Part I Of II. (50)
Please see in the first photo the measures of the jacket in CENTIMETERS, measures with the jacket OVER A PLAIN SURFACE. Many photos available, if you need to see something that you don´t see ask it and I will do the photo for you. I can send the photos by email in a bigger size, with this you will be able to zoom them if you want. Small size on this wondefull jacket used, but not abused. Bakelite buttons and steel buttons. It has been found in Italy and it has the typical look of a jacket that could have been used in Italy in the 1944. The guy was promoted to Officer and then changed the eagle and shoulder boards, THIS IS WHAT THEY DID, THEY DIDN´T THROW AWAY THE OLD JACKET AND RECEIVE A NEW ONE WITH THE NEW INSIGNIA ON IT. Why I say this? Because many of you think that the German Soldiers were collectors instead of what they really were: People fighting in a War. If you only collect jackets with untouched insignia is ok for me, but don´t say upgraded jackets are all of them made post war or never existed, please. So, going back to the jacket, on the shoulder boards you can see the original silver colour under the buttons, as a protected areas, the colour is still nice and vivid there. It has some small holes, 3 or 4 and the biggest damage is located on the sleeve cuffs. Jacket was named to H. Lützen II. Pi. Abt.
