German Wehrmacht Karbid Lamp Einheitslaterne Stahl Last Ditch In Black Enamel With The Matching Small Petrol Lighter.

I told you in item 52857, another Last Ditch lamp made by ltf. This is a really rare bird, it is enameled in black, yes, enameled, NOT painted. It is MINT, never used. You can see in the wood handle was painted in sand colour and under in red primer. Comes with its matching small burner, this yes, painted in black, as I guess to enamel this would be not easy. The top piece were the wick is, cannot be unscrewed. I have been told by an older collector than me that these black enamel lamps were issued to the Reichsbahn because the red primer only was not hard enough and that they are VERY rare and even more with the matching small burner.
