German Wehrmacht Hemp Pull Cord For Use In The M24 And M39 Nebel Smoke Stielhandgranaten Stickgrenades.
This is the second most common missing part from a stickgrenade. These hemp pull cord is the standard model used, (already used at WWI), and you can find them in all the production years of the German stickgrenades. So, they are correct for stickgrenades dated from 1936, (And/or earlier), to 1945. You can find them with wood, lead, brass, steel, glass and/or porcelain small pearls and the cord knot on top of the small pearls 99% of the times, I have found some with the knot under the big porcelain ball. In this cord the material used on the small pearl makes a difference, wood and lead were used for very early pre war cords, (1930-1936), brass was used shortly or just from a small factory until 1940 and I have found them in cords coming from Poland and Russia, then steel and porcelain used from 1936 to 1945 and glass introduced in 1943 and used until 1945. This is my experience of collecting stickgrenades for 20 years and it is what I have observed in this time. Pull cords could be reused, have this in mind.
THE CORDS AVAILABLE HAVE STEEL AND/OR PORCELAIN SMALL PEARLS
So, it is your great chance to get one for complete your stick or for display in the collection, or for whatever you want to do. Price is for ONE pull cord. I also have available the Sprengkapsel Nr. 8 and the two fuzes used with these stickgrenades, the lead made BZ24 and the aluminium made BZ39, both fuzes used with the hemp pull cord. All parts inert and safe to own, of course. A good chance to complete your Stickgrenade to the 100%.
