German Wehrmacht M39 Eihandgranate Egg Grenade Wood Transport Box Light Grey Colour 1942 Dated, Rare To Find.

Not often seen a 1942 dated box in this light grey colour. The box has some repairs and is missing the rack on the body, but still has the rack on the lid. I think this box has been used many times, hence the rapairs and the rack on lid which usually is one piece of wood with the holes, here is two pieces. In the last photo you can see this box has never been cleaned. Still in place the hooks for hold the fuze and detonator boxes in place. So, overall a nice box for display nicely priced and rare colour and year. Thinking in the rack on the body part, I´m quite is the same type than in this other box I had in the past and still in the site for reference: 51908 So, it would not be difficult to make a rack as this is only a thin wood plate with holes.
