German Wehrmacht Cluster Bomb/Last Ditch Hangrenade With lqa 44 BZE40 Fuze, Inert.

Very well known "Last Ditch" item and hard to find nowadays. Its original use was as a parachute-dropped "Splitterbombe SD 0,5 kg", but at the end of the war a BZE39 or BZE40 fuze was screwed on top for use it as a handgrenade. It is complete with a nice BZE40, (Percussion variation fuze instead of the friction BZE39), with a typical late war nut instead of the "wings" found on early fuzes. Fuze is clearly marked lqa 44 on top.
