German Wehrmacht Combat GM38 Black Rubber Gas Mask Super Matching 1943-1944 byd Set From My Own Collection With The Rare Simplified Closing Knob And Dark Blue Paint On Mask, Part I Of II.

In my collection since many years. I have too many sets actually..... So, I decided to sell some.
Super nice set, I could bet this set was made in 1945 using stock parts, the dark blue paint is a clue for that, this paint was used very late in the war as they didn´t have the light blue anymore, under the dark blue you can see the original light blue applied when the mask was made. All the steel buckles on mask are in bare metal. Filter has a couple of checking dates in the side. The can is marked ebu, (Not an easy to find maker), and has a good, (And cool), finger print on it, so somebody touched it when the paint was still wet... Surely he was shooted because that?

Metal hardware on both long and short straps is made in steel as well the knobs.
