Very nice set made in 1944 with stock parts, when in a set you have a mask from 1944 and a filter from 1940 it means that the set was made from stock parts, when you have a mask from 1940 and a filter from 1944, it means that the earlier filter was replaced due to usage for a new one. This set has a 1944 gas mask can, a gas mask with 1943 and 1944 parts with 1940 inner lenses and a filter made in 1940 and revised in 1942. The spare lenses match with the inner lenses installed, so we have here what I call a "Typical Late War Set". The condition is not stone mint, but excellent, perfect for put on a mannequin. Also nice for add to a collection of gas masks. The gas mask can paint is a nice darker Feldgrau also typical for a late war item. Same hand painted number on can and mask, (2016), first with white paint, later masked with black paint. On can the black paint got lost due to the usage. Mask painted in blue because contains magnetic metal parts. See photos, as I said a very nice original set.
