German Wehrmacht Behelfs Schützenmine W1 + Z.u.D.Z 29, (Zug und Druck Zünder 29), Inert.

You can see this item often in the West Europe Museums, (North France, Belgium, Netherlands, etc), where this mine was used.... At WWII in the battlefields, not in the museums. This mine was made from the thousands of captured French 50 mm Light Mortar Model 37, (Lance Grenades de 50 mm modèle 37). Germans removed the mortar fins and put the body into a concrete base, then some different fuzes could be used, the mythical Bück, a ZZ42 or a Z.u.D.Z 29, (Zug und Druck Zünder 29), from the obsolete Teller Mine 29. Here you can get a complete set, minus the adapter that was made of hard plastic. Yes, the mine is a ground dug example... same than all of them in Museums.
This is a good example of how Germans used everything they had when they started to be in shortage of everything at the end of the war. The Z.u.D.Z 29 is maker marked and dated, RR from Richard Rinker and O for the year 1932. The fuze was found together with the mine.
