We have a winner here: M40, Quist made, Size 66, SS, complete, one looking condition.... Nice helmet and well priced in my opinion. Liner ring is dated 1940, (hard to read), same for chinstrap. Untouched condition. It has been found without chinstrap, so I leave it as is. You can buy a spare one in my site which will be accurated and right for this kind of helmet/model/branch. Extremelly nice condition of this mid-war Luftwaffe helmet, it has a 1941-42 dated liner ring, the chinstrap has been shortened, a common practice done by German soldiers. Leather liner has been made from parts, (another common practice at factories from mid-war on towards for use all leather parts), and has had the visit of a rat sometime in his life. Untouched condition and with one of the best Luftwaffe decals I have ever seen on a helmet. It has a 1942 dated liner ring, being a Quist M40 helmet it is normal as Quist was the only maker who made the M40 helmet until the end of the war.
